Happy Holidays

Now that its time for Christmas, Zar and I are taking a break from blogging until sometime is January 2011. We would like to take this opportunity to send you all compliments of the season. Those of you that celebrate the birth of Jesus, enjoy this very important occasion and take some time to rest in God.

For all our other friends happy holidays!!

A Typical Conversation

In the last blog, i promised that Zar, my partner in the blog, would write a piece stemming from a conversation that we had this week on terrorism. Apparently, she developed cold feet, but i choose to forgive her for now (I suppose its commitment fears, which she promises she will get over very soon).

So here it goes.

Launching the Blog

My very good friend and I have been discussing the potential of making our everyday (very interesting conversations) public for many months now and have finally decided to take the plunge. Conversations with ourselves was borne in one of our living rooms as we were having a debate on the similarities and differences between Islam and Christianity. Now, my friend is an Indian Muslim and I am a Black Christian and it was amazing how our viewpoints often collided but also how they were so similar. And it was at that moment that we conceptualised the idea of starting a blog where we could put our conversations online and invite other people to tell us what they thought. And we hope that we will have a fabulous time while sharing our perspectives in various matters.

Introducing Dot and Zar, your avid conversationalists whose conversations this blog is based on....

Watch this space for a blog on terrorism, Islam, Christianity, the role of women, and being brainwashed from Zar.
